Clearing the Waters: Examining Water Quality Improvement in the Toronto and Region Area of Concern

Date: Thursday September 25, 2025
Time: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Location: Online via Zoom

Toronto is Canada’s largest urban area, with a population that is growing rapidly. As a result, water quality issues such as excessive phosphorus pose an environmental concern affecting Toronto’s waterfront and Lake Ontario. Phosphorus loads can cause algae growth and eutrophication, threatening ecosystems and recreational use.

Join us for this virtual event to learn more about the causes, impacts, and strategies to restore balance to our waters. Have your voice heard by providing feedback on a recent assessment of the Eutrophication or Undesirable Algae Beneficial Use Impairment.

Your voice matters: be part of the dialogue shaping the future of our environment.

This event is taking place via Zoom. After registration, you will be emailed a link to join the webinar.
